Jazz Dance is a fun, upbeat class that can help you work on fine and gross motor skills. You can dance in your socks – you don’t need any special equipment! This Fosse-based class will consist of a center warm-up, across-the-floor work and a choreography section. We will focus on dance technique and terminology.
About the instructor: Clare MacDonald’s dance teaching career began when she was asked to be an assistant instructor at age 12. She continued with a BS in Phys Ed and Dance and branched out into fitness, Adapted PE and Special Education, all of which have been useful in the classroom. Clare taught tap, ballet, hip hop and jazz to all ages at Brixham Danceworks in Maine for over 20 years. Clare's love of dance continues and she is a firm believer in dance as a means to maintain strength and flexibility.
