Have you always wanted to paint or improve your painting skills? This class is for beginners to advanced. Develop your color skills as a painter in this four-class series. Amy will demonstrate color mixing from primaries, lead training exercises, and help you learn how to observe and how to mix colors to match what you observe. Working from just the three primary colors and white, gouache paint and watercolor paper, the most basic to complex color mixing strategies will empower each student to use color for observational painting.

About the instructor: A painter and ceramicist, Amy has taught art at Nauset Regional High School for more than 20 years and has led workshops at the Cape Cod Museum of Art in Dennis, Castle Hill in Truro, and PAAM in Provincetown. She currently represents her own work through the Ouroboros Gallery. Amy earned a BFA in painting from SUNY Purchase and an MFA from Bard College.
