Seeking funding for your non-profit or educational organization? The trick to successful grant writing is the ability to clearly define and communicate your objectives to the funder, write a realistic logic model, develop an evaluation design and prepare an appropriate budget. In this hands-on class, you will learn about all of these critical components of the grant writing process. We will review successful grant applications and discuss the elements that make them successful. In addition, participants will develop a brief grant proposal and get feedback from the instructor and from the other students in the class. This course is suitable for new and experienced grant writers who want to improve the quality of their grant applications.
This course is presented in collaboration with SCORE, the Service Corps of Retired Executives. SCORE volunteers provide low-cost educational workshops, free mentoring and other resources on Cape Cod and in all 50 U.S. states and territories.
About the instructor: Dr. Chandler has extensive experience in all aspects of grant writing. She has written successful grants for foundations, government grants and contracts.
