Schedule

Rhythm tap is a fabulous way to work not only your center and fine and gross motor skills, but also the brain and memory. It’s a must as we age!
This Rhythm Tap class will consist of a center warm-up, across the floor work and a choreography section. We will focus on dance technique and terminology. This class is suitable for dancers with some previous tap dance experience as well as beginners.

Recommended footwear: Split-sole Oxford style taps from Capezio or Bloch with a strong shank on the sole, available at dance stores, online at those makers, or at Discountdance.com.

About the instructor: Clare MacDonald’s dance teaching career began when she was asked to be an assistant instructor at age 12. She continued with a BS in Phys Ed and Dance and branched out into fitness, Adapted PE and Special Education, all of which have been useful in the classroom. Clare taught tap, ballet, hip hop and jazz to all ages at Brixham Danceworks in Maine for over 20 years. Clare's love of dance continues and she is a firm believer in dance as a means to maintain strength and flexibility.
