This is a class for armchair travelers, those who want to relive the joys of a past trip or those planning one in the future. Classes explore the essential contributions of France, Italy, and Spain to art history. Highlights include an exploration of French art, from Prehistoric cave paintings to the Impressionist museums of the South; Italian Renaissance and Baroque eras and Roman architectural wonders; and the Spanish masters from Goya to Picasso (and a few cathedrals, too)!
The class will meet on these dates: 10/9, 10/16, 10/30
About the instructor: Suzanne Altman is a painter, educator and art historian. A graphic designer for 20 years, she has a Master of Arts in Teaching and is founder of the Artworks art school in Peekskill, NY.
