If you love learning while tapping your toes, come join the School of Songs! In this course we will explore History, Civil Rights, Art, Philosophy, Literature, World Languages, and more through song. We will listen to the songs via music videos, and do follow-up exploration and discussion via lyric printouts and other material. Participants will be encouraged to continue to think about the subject after each class, and come back the next week with any suggestions of songs that speak (sing!) to that particular topic. It will be an opportunity to revisit favorite songs and get acquainted with new ones, all through the lens of song lyrics.
Class will meet on these dates: 9/22, 9/29, 10/6, 10/20, 10/27, 11/3, 11/10, 11/17
